 Antifreezing Guidance for Fiber Laser Cutting Machine

In Winter, it is necessary to pay attention to the antifreeze of the laser equipment

1. The recommended working environment temperature of the laser : around 22


2. Low water temperature control of water cooler: 20-24


3. High water temperature control of water cooler: 28-30


4. The water cooler needs to work at least 20 minute before the ouput of laser.


5.Ensure the temperature of the laser main control and module optical sensor at 18.



Next, Ande Laser will share with you the three key points for the antifreeze of laser equipment:


Winter is a period of high incidence of laser equipment failures, especially in the north of "sharply cooling". Anti-freezing measures must be taken and work instruction readings must be paid attention to in order to effectively reduce the "freezing damage rate".


Antifreeze measures:


The use temperature of the water cooler should be above 0. If the water cooler is out of service, it may cause the water system to freeze. At that time, the freezing and expansion of the cooling water will affect all the flowing parts, such as the cold water plate, the water divider, or even seriously affect the entire refrigeration system.

1. Keep the chiller running and set both low temperature water and room temperature water at around 10°C to ensure that the cooling water is above the freezing point, and it is also energy-saving and environmentally friendly.


2. Add antifreeze to the chiller. The following is a reference for the ratio of Clariant's antifreeze.


When the local temperature is -42to -45, 60% antifreeze :  40% water

When the local temperature is -32to -35, 50% antifreeze :  50% water

When the local temperature is -22to -25, 40% antifreeze :  60% water

When the local temperature is -12to -15, 30% antifreeze :  70% water


The choice of antifreeze is not that the lower the freezing point, the better, but according to the local temperature, you can choose an antifreeze that is slightly lower than the local temperature.



3. Antifreeze is corrosive. No antifreeze can completely replace deionized water or distilled water. Long-term use throughout the year is not recommended. After winter, when the temperature returns to above 0°C throughout the day, it is recommended to use deionized water or distilled water to clean the pipeline, and restore to use deionized water or distilled water as the coolant.





If the laser equipment is not used for a long time, drain the cooling water in the equipment, and use compressed air to blow out the residual water inside the parts of the machine to prevent internal ice and frost.

Remove the water pipe from the chiller, use compressed gas below 3.5Bar to ventilate the 4 water inlets and outlets respectively, and drain the water in the chiller. The 4 water inlets and outlets are shown in the figure below.





Attentions:

1. After turning on the chiller, first check whether the readings of the room temperature water pressure gauge and the cooling water pressure gauge are normal; if there is an alarm signal, pay special attention to whether the water system is frozen and check that the valve may not be opened.


2. After checking that the water pump is normal, if the temperature of the cooling water cannot be raised to the low temperature requirement of the laser, the temperature of the room temperature water and the cooling water can be raised


 5, and the temperature must reach the set temperature value before normal use .


3. Carry out a careful inspection of important parts such as the laser water circulation system and protective mirror, and check for icing, frosting, freezing and other situations.


4. If the laser is frosted or frozen, it must not be forced to start, and it can only be normally used when it is defrosted, so as to avoid the explosion of the insie pipelines.



 If the ambient temperature of the laser used environment is between 10-40, there is no need to add any antifreeze. In addition, in summer, please drain the antifreeze of the chiller, and then inject deionized water or distilled water for use.


If your laser is in a long-term shutdown state in winter, be sure to drain the water remaining in the laser water pipe.


If the laser needs to be transported or repaired in low temperature weather, the remaining water in the laser waterway must also be drained and then packed and transported.
